Yoda & Society

Something that I must learn that is known as a "hidden" expectation in the society today that I live in that might have something to do with my race is dealing with all the expectations and stereotypes of African Americans I mean I personally don't get upset about these stereotypes but then again I tend to ignore them knowing that I don't have to live up to these and be what people see me to be by one look of the eyes. I mean in general I am different from majority of the African American teens that I know of today, and not everyone is the same. Like the famous quote says "You were born an original so don't die a copy." Like regardless of what society says or expects one to be, you can be yourself better be who ever you want!(:

My view on Nature in Steps.

Step One* Commodity:
Nature is a necessity need for us, and I see it as something that'll always be there for us when needed, whether it's for food or shelter it provides us with a safe and serene feeling. Like imagine the feelings and author describes when talking about a beach, they usually describe it as peaceful and serene with lavish waters and beautiful evergreen trees making the reader feel as if it is perfect and as if they are safe. But then again this intricate detailing of such a scene could also give the reader like an erie creepy feeling.

Step Two* Beauty:
According to Emerson's view of nature in step two :"Beauty" he says that it sometimes is a theraputic spot and a place where spirits can be lifted and freed as if this certain nature scene gives the spirit a surge of life. To me dealing with Beauty and nature it gives me the feeling that deep down nature can be anything that we feel defines beauty for ourselves, beauty in general has more than one meaning not just by how it looks or appears to the eyes but how we feel deep down inside when it comes to it. Like the true beauty behind it, from the emotion of the setting and all.

Step Three* Language:
Here are some of my favorite nature based metaphors(:
~The ocean is the wave, and the wave contains all of the ocean. The individual waves movement comes from the Ocean behind it. The individual exists because the Ocean exists.
~
If what is true is repressed, it will bubble up from deep effecting everything in it's path. Volcanoes stand as an omen for change being forced if you will not flow, to a difference in perspective or shift in awareness that results when what we live isn't supporting the essence of what is really true.
~The berry represents wholeness. Every tiny seed that makes up the

berry is neccessary for it to be.
Each particle containing a seed of the berry holds a piece of the whole.
Even if each particle is ripped off, no matter how separate each piece is,
they still contain within them the trace of the whole, the essence of the Essence

Step Four* Discipline:
Nature to me in the means of discipline. When I hear this it reminds me of Buddha and how he relates to nature in such a calm way, ways which discipline his mind, body and soul. It also reminds me or just zen and a lot of calm aura. I feel as if this is the part of nature that teaches us how to be human and to not take everything or shall I say the little things in life for granted. We should always be thankful of who we are and where we come from and this piece of Nature understanding gives me the idea of Buddha. "Things derive their being and nature by mutual dependence and are nothing in themselves." -Buddha

Prompt #2

The moment in my life that I feel as if I've reached the marrow is when I got the call that I could do the Cincinnati Bell Commercial, I mean yeah it might sound cliche but ever since I could even like comprehend what acting was I've wanted to do something like that and when I finally got that chance I felt like the happiest girl ever. It was great.

Prompt #1

No I do not find this to be true, I disagree to this because a nonconformist is to be defined as someone who breaks the rules and goes against standardized morals, I feel as if all men are men by behaving in better manners to show their true manhood, and just being an adult. I mean yeah it's good to be an individual but you have to come to your senses and do what's said to be done every so often. An example that I've seen is like in jobs now a days when your said to do one thing, when we all know you may WANT to do something else but in order to get rewarded money you do what you're then told.
